Scope and Content
This series contains judgment record books kept by the Sixth District Court in Kane County. The text of judgments rendered in court cases are recorded in these volumes. These records function as a reference source for all final judgments made by the court in civil matters. Included are findings of fact, conclusions of law, and the decree or judgment. Recorded information includes the names of the parties involved, date, a summary of the case and findings, decisions rendered, and the names of officials. A case number is recorded in some instances.

Index to civil and criminal actions from the District Court (Sixth District : Kane County), Series 27769, contains index books that can be used to access additional information on the cases cited in these books.
Civil registers of actions from the District Court (Sixth District : Kane County), Series 27770, contains register filings for individual actions related to the case files found in this series.
Judgment dockets from the District Court (Sixth District : Kane County), Series 27776, contain the agenda for the proceedings of the court, written in abstract or brief form to act as a record of the action relative to each case.
These books were physically transferred to the Utah State Archives in September 2011 for processing and microfilming. Once microfilming has been completed the hard copies will be returned to the Sixth District Court office in Kanab.
