Scope and Content
This series contains the Judgment Dockets produced by the 5th District Court in Iron County. Dockets function as an agenda for the proceedings of the court, written in abstract or brief form to act as a record of the action relative to each case. The docket generally contains the following information: Plaintiff, Defendant, Nature of the Case, Attorneys for the Plaintiff and Defendant, Case Number, Date and Nature of each action taken in the case, any applicable fees for the action, along with the judge's disposition of the case.

In 2010 a loosely bound judgment docket book was found in the court and mailed to the State Archives. The book has been added to the physical holdings but has not been microfilmed.
Judgment record books from the District Court (Fifth District : Iron County), Series 18190, contain the text of judgment rendered in court cases.
Civil case files from the District Court (Fifth District : Iron County), Series 18195, contains the entire case file relating to the judgments issued in these docket books.
These books were originally transferred to the State Archives from the court in 2007. They were transferred to the regional repository at Southern Utah University in November 2009.
